Casucci Estate

The Casucci estate is a farmhouse situated on the homonym hill, located between the hamlets of Duddova and Montebenichi. Where the modern buildings are currently placed, once the castle of Casucci must have been there, mentioned in the medieval sources, with the relative Santo Stefano’s church: the latter, in 1468, resulted already in ruins, with no roof and only an altar equipped with a tombstone. No traces remain of medieval structures, except for some stone elements reused in the buildings of the modern farmhouse. Currently the site is private property and cannot be visited.
