Capannole Bridge

These remains of an old bridge are in the Ambra torrent, below the field next to the Pieve of Capannole. The ruins seem to belong to a cone and an arch and they only emerge when the stream is dry. The remains of the pillar seem to be erected with squared stones, held together by mortar and fragments of clay bricks; on the other hand, the arch is made up of stones arranged on the side. According to scientists, these are remains of a Roman bridge.
